Txtor Ai ("the app") is an iOS app and keyboard extension that suggests replies for your conversations using AI. It is built and operated by an individual developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains exactly what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: we don't have user accounts, we don't run our own database of your content, and the only time your content leaves your device is when you ask the app to generate a reply.
Content you submit for reply generation. When you tap Generate, the conversation text you pasted, typed, or imported — or the photo you attached — is sent over an encrypted connection to our server endpoint (hosted on Cloudflare Workers), which forwards it to Google's Gemini API to produce reply suggestions. This happens only when you explicitly request a generation; the keyboard and app never send your typing or conversations in the background.
Screenshot text recognition (OCR). When you import a chat screenshot, the text is read from the image on your device using Apple's Vision framework. The image itself is only sent to Google (as above) if the app determines it is a photo to react to rather than a text conversation, or when you generate from an attached photo.
Your settings and history. Your tone, length, and emoji preferences, favorite tones, and your last 10 generated replies are stored locally on your device in a shared container so the app and keyboard can both read them. They are not uploaded anywhere. You can erase all of this at any time via Settings → Delete My Data in the app, or by deleting the app.
Anonymous device identifier and usage counts. To enforce the free tier's monthly limit and protect the service from abuse, the app generates a random identifier on your device (a UUID). It is not derived from your hardware, Apple ID, or any personal information, and we cannot use it to identify you. This identifier is sent with each generation request, and our server keeps a count of generations per identifier (just a number — never your content). These counts expire automatically from our server within about 40 days. The identifier is kept on your device (including in the device Keychain, so limits survive reinstalling the app).
Purchases. Premium subscriptions and one-time reply packs are processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment details. When you buy a reply pack, the app sends the purchase's transaction identifier to our server, which verifies it directly with Apple before adding the replies to your balance. This identifier is a purchase reference — not a personal or payment detail — and we retain it for a limited period (about 180 days) only to prevent the same purchase from being credited twice.
iOS requires keyboards to request Full Access before they can use the network. Txtor Ai's keyboard uses Full Access solely to send your explicitly submitted content for reply generation as described above, and to share your settings with the main app. The keyboard does not log your keystrokes, does not read other apps' data, and does not transmit anything unless you tap Paste/Image and Generate.
Content submitted for generation is processed transiently and not retained by us. Anonymous usage counts expire from our server within about 40 days. Locally stored settings and history remain on your device until you delete them or the app. Google's and Cloudflare's handling of transient request data is governed by their respective policies.
Txtor Ai is intended for users aged 17 and over, consistent with its App Store age rating. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
You can delete all locally stored data in Settings → Delete My Data, revoke the keyboard's Full Access in iOS Settings at any time, and manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account. Depending on your jurisdiction you may have additional rights regarding personal data; contact us to exercise them.
If we materially change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
